PADI SCUBA DIVER COURSE

Short on time but still want to become a certified diver?

  • Knowledge Development:  Basic scuba theory (first 3 of 5 Open Water sections)

Difference between Scuba Diver and Open Water

Open Water Divers can dive independently up to 18 m / 60 ft.
Scuba Divers can dive up to 12 m / 40 ft, but only under the supervision of a PADI Professional.

WATERTEMPERATURE:

  • Average 78-86F° – Thermoclines in Feb/Mar down to 65F°
  • Average 25-30C° – Thermoclines in Feb/Mar down to 19C°

 

  • Minimum age: 10 years
  • Adequate swimming skills required
  • Good physical health required
  • Medical questionnaire must be completed
  • Doctor’s approval may be needed depending on medical answers
  • No prior scuba diving experience required

 

 

PADI Scuba Diver Course

This course is a shorter version of the PADI Open Water Diver certification and is ideal for those who plan to dive with a professional guide. It also serves as a great first step toward completing your full Open Water certification in the future.

As a certified PADI Scuba Diver, you will be able to:

  • Dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 meters / 40 feet
  • Obtain air fills, rent or purchase scuba equipment, and join guided dive activities
  • Upgrade your certification anytime by completing the PADI Open Water Diver course
  • Continue your diving journey with additional specialty courses
