The Bat Islands are a world-class dive destination for advanced divers in Costa Rica. One of the true highlights is the unforgettable, face-to-face encounters with majestic bull sharks—some reaching up to 3.5 meters (12 feet) in length.
Located about 45 km (30 miles) northwest of Playas del Coco, at the outermost tip of Santa Rosa National Park, this remote site offers an exciting and unique diving experience. Our boat will take you there in approximately one hour, bringing you straight into one of Costa Rica’s most thrilling underwater adventures.
All dives at the Bat Islands are conducted as drift dives without anchoring, and are therefore reserved for advanced divers who are comfortable with deeper profiles and changing conditions.
Our Bat Island 3 tank dive trips include three dives at different sites. Boats depart at 7:00 am and typically return around 3:30 pm.
